A diary of three entries, ha! I guess that’s what happens when you have kids–no time to keep a diary!

By the way, I had a beautiful baby girl who is a happy and healthy two months old now!

Wow, the first trimester is almost over! I could say it has flown by, but it hasn’t been without its trials and tribulations (mainly nausea and tiredness). It’s more like the time has blurred past because my time has been very otherwise occupied–anyone with a toddler knows what I mean!

With my second trimester in sight, I’m looking forward to an end to the nauseousness. (Most people say the second trimester is the most enjoyable.) Actually WANTING to eat? What a concept! At least I’m holding my weight, and not losing any–my OB says that’s fine, and I should start to be able to eat more and gain soon. I used to eat ice cream practically every night, and now, I rarely touch the stuff. Creamy cow product. 🙁 Ugh to all dairy!

I detest thinking about food, planning the weekly menu, grocery shopping, and preparing food. If someone else makes it, I have a much better chance of being somewhat appetized. Hello, restaurants–goodbye, hard-earned money!

I guess that about sums up where I’m at right now. Oh, and my waist is expanding. Certain clothes are in a “no-way-I-can-fit-into-these” pile. I’ve taken to using the nifty trick of looping an elastic hairband around and through my jeans button and button hole to give me some extra expanse, and this allows me to still wear my work pants, as well. Work. Yeah. Working till midnight is deplorable when you have a two-year-old who wakes you up at six a.m. No wonder I’m tired!

Despite all this, I love being pregnant, and I love the privilege of carrying a precious child inside me. It is a monumental blessing that can be replaced by nothing else!

I’ve known for a little over a week now that I’m expecting my second little darling! This is a dream come true, especially after wanting this for so long. My almost-two-year-old will have a sibling, and we will be a family of four. There’s a lot to do to prepare, but it’s going to be an exciting journey!
